Decadent, creamy dessert sauce to drizzle on ice cream, cake, or pie.
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 cup 38% Organic Milk Chocolate Baking Wafers
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tbsp corn syrup
5 tbsp butter
Pinch of coarse sea salt
Bourbon to taste
Combine cream, brown sugar, corn syrup & butter in a sauce pan on low heat. Bring to a simmer.
Place milk chocolate into a bowl, and pour half of the hot liquid over the chocolate to melt.
Let sit for 1 minute, and then whisk until smooth.
Add remaining liquid and whisk well. Or, for best results use a hand blender.
Add salt and bourbon to taste.
